6,208 yards while at Kansas State University, a
school record that was not broken for 38 years.

with the Jets. |

yards total offense and most passing yards in his

a third-stringer, but ended it as the Super Bowl
MVP. |
(Robert) John Riggins
rushed for over 1,000 yards in five seasons, and
over 100 yards in 35 games, and was only the

touchdowns. In Super Bowl XVII, he set a Super
Bowl record by rushing for 166 yards. |
Gale Eugene Sayers
only played in 68 professional football games,
but gained a total of 9,435 years and scored a
total of 56 touchdowns in them. He also set seven

career, and was named to the Pro Bowl in each of
his first five seasons. |
