EleutheraEleuthera is the longest island in The Bahamas (110 miles). Over 300 years ago, English Puritan adventurers came to the island and founded what was probably the first democracy in the western world.
San SalvadorSan Salvador was once considered one of the least important islands of The Bahamas. It has since attracted much attention for being the site of the first landfall of Christopher Columbus in the New World, on October 12, 1492.
