Daytona BeachDaytona Beach is located at the mouth of the Halifax River, on the Atlantic Ocean, in Volutsia County, Florida. The city is well-known for having one of the longest stretches of uninterrupted public beach in the country, as well as for being the host of the Daytona 500, one of the premier events in stock car racing.
Fort LauderdaleFort Lauderdale is known as the "Venice of America" because of its expansive and intricate canal system.
GainesvilleGainesville is the seat of Alachua County. It is home to the main campus of the University of Florida, whose football team was responsible for the invention of Gatorade.

TallahasseeTallahassee has been the capital of Florida since 1824. During the Civil War, Tallahassee was the only Confederate capital east of the Mississippi River to not be captured by Union troops.
West Palm BeachWest Palm Beach was founded by Henry Flagler in 1894 as a community to house servants working in the neighboring community of Palm Beach. Today it is now a popular tourist destination.
