| The Only Private Home the Eisenhowers Ever Owned
The Eisenhowers' eight years in the White House was the longest time they had lived in one place. In 1950, they bought a 100-year-old, 500-acre farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was the first (and only) permanent home they ever owned. The photo above was taken in 1956. |
