Dwight David Eisenhower was the third of the seven sons of David Jacob Eisenhower and Ida Elizabeth Stover Eisenhower.

"Young Ike" is at the far left in the family portrait above. The other brothers were:

Arthur (1886-1958) became a banker in Kansas City
Edgar Newton (1889-1971) became a lawyer in Tacoma, Washington
Roy (1892-1942) became a druggist in Junction City, Kansas
Earl (1898-1968) became an electrical engineer in Charleroi, Pennsylvania
Milton Stover (1899-1985) became a government official and college president
Paul, the last child, died in infancy
