In 1926, shortly after graduating first in his class from the Command and General Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Major Dwight D. Eisenhower returned to Abilene, Kansas, for a front-porch reunion with his parents (seated behind him) and his brothers: (from left) Roy, Arthur, Earl, Edgar and Milton.
