 The Navigation Acts
were a series of 29 acts instituted by the
British Parliament between 1651 and 1761 with the
intention of restraining colonial trade. |
 The
Stamp Act decreed that stamps
must be purchased and affixed to virtually
everything printed on paper and was one of the
principal sparks of the Revolutionary War. |
